I firmly believe that guest speakers at senior leadership levels from industry greatly add value to classroom discussions. In my experience, students are able to better relate to real-world problems after listening to a first-hand account from a seasoned veteran. Keeping this in mind and the fact that I have been a senior industry leader before entering academia, I always make it a point to invite renowned and globally famous guest speakers from both industry and academia for my classes. Some of the guest speakers I have invited for both my undergraduate and MBA courses are:
Michelle Gansle: Vice-President- Global Strategic Insights at McDonald’s
Jesse Randall: CEO-Sweater
Richard Brubaker: Managing Director of Collective Responsibility, Founder of HandsOn China, and Adjunct Professor of Sustainability and Social Innovation at Southern Methodist University
Dr. C.B. Bhattacharya: H. J. Zoffer Chair in Sustainability and Ethics, University of Pittsburgh, Katz Graduate School of Business
Dr. Paurav Shukla: Professor and Head of the Marketing Department- Southampton Business School, UK
